Knowledge of the basic of orthodontics is essential for dental students. This course provides the undergraduate students with the background about the normal occlusion, malocclusion, growth and development of dento-facial structures, aetiology and diagnosis of malocclusion and the treatment of occlusal discrepancies. The course is conducted throughout the whole academic year in two semesters.
