This course complements studies to what has been studied in the previous courses of pharmacology. It deals with drugs that affect the immune, ocular and nasal systems together with those drugs that aid in the diagnosis of some diseases. The major part of the course deals with recent treatments of certain diseases and disorders such as hemorrhoids, migraines, premature and complicated deliveries, varicose veins, prostate hypertrophy and erectile dysfunction. It also deals with discussions of the various means available for contraception in both males and females together with the general principles of gene therapy.
