The course deals with medicinal chemistry and the molecular pharmacological aspects of action of neurotransmitters and other endogenous substances as well as the drugs affecting their activity. The chemical interactions of these endogenous molecules with their specific receptors or enzymes shall be covered as well as the molecular effects of their respective agonists and antagonists. Details of the mechanisms of action, SAR, stereochemistry, and metabolism of these agents shall be presented.
