Being the first clinical course in removable Prosthodontics, emphasis is placed on providing students with optimal knowledge and skills for a successful treatment. Emphasis will be placed on diagnosis and treatment planning, identifying cases with poor prognosis, recommending any pre prosthetic surgery required. Students will be encouraged to perform and practice both basic clinical and laboratory steps involved in fabrication of complete and partial denture prosthesis. Emphasis will also be placed on students to motivate patient regarding importance of oral hygiene and denture hygiene and able to build rapport with the patient through counseling and patient education to gain the required patient cooperation to complete the procedure.
